Let me ask you.......I'd love to make some 38, 40g wraps but don't feel I have the time or patience to wrap such thin wire. How much time do you spend on the high gauge wraps?

 

@dubya the best ss wire I ever bought was off a medical site. The shipping kills but the surgical suture grade is so clean and pure.

 

@dubya one time I did a 6 strand twisted with that 32g above and got a nice vape from it. There's jewelry tool that makes it easy to twist multiple wires. It's basically a disc with holes in it to run the wire through, then you twist them all at one end and connect to your drill chuck and go.

I like drills because they create an even tension throughout your wrapping process, once you get the hang of it and you keep your pull even and continue without stopping. You get a coil that fires up perfectly without having to fiddle. If you overshoot you can always unwrap what you don't need.

My first attempt at fused Clapton's. Well, not really if you count all the wire I wasted getting it done, but I think I have the whole tension thing now. Lighting Vapes, you know I love ya, but I'm tired of paying $13 for 25 ft. I'm happy with the end results, but almost afraid to fire em up

 

Hey Ducky I always wanted to learn how to make a chain or rope coil. What's the learning curve? Is it something you can explain how to do or do you recommend any vids?
