This is on imr's blog: https://www.imrbatteries.com/blog/whats-the-deal-with-the-sony-vtc5/
The IMR Website says that the Sony VTC5 is only a 20A Battery.
Sony VTC5 18650 2600mAh 20A Flat Top Battery $12.00
Sony never actually claimed the VTC5 to be a 30A Continuous, and many just assumed it was because the VTC3 and VTC4 are. You can look on the Sony VTC5 Spec Sheet and it does not say 30A Continuous.
Sony VTC3 18650 1600mAh 30A Flat Top Battery $6.00
Sony VTC4 18650 2100mAh 30A Flat Top Battery $8.00
Why would you want to pay $12.00 for a 20A 2600mAh Battery?
Especially when you can get the LG HG2 for lots less. Hi @100%VG
Couldn't agree more. How are you today?
