OK, thanks. Idk which way I was closing it, but will do clockwise next time. I will also take a look at JFC when empty.

Everything I got is bottom fill. Can't a guy enjoy something topless for once? :innocent:

Ok, so Cloudnus had a seperate control for JFC, closing that off, it filled just fine. Boreas, yup, bottom fill is the way to go. Sure wish someone (cough) Tim (Cough) would have told me that :thumb: Thank you kind sir, yet again :thumb:

@muth, here's the BF Serpent RDTA.

    1) Stuff a silicone o-ring into this space to keep the juice from getting up into the air channel.

    2) Drill, grind, or file an opening here for the juice to fill the tank. I used a narrow file about 1/16" wide then rounded it using a Dremel.

    3) Drill the squonk hole from the end of the center pen just past the insulator, then out one side. I used a 1/16" cobalt drill bit for the center hole, then ground the side hole with a Dremel and diamond grinding bit.

@TheWestPole thank you muchly:rolleyes:(sic). That's very clear instructions and I would have never figured it out myself. Arigatou, Sensei:nun:

I take it once that's done, you can't use it as a regular RDTA anymore, yes?

Sure you can. If you're concerned about leaking into your non-BF 510 you can always plug the center pin hole temporarily. Bubble gum, toothpick, earwax, whatever. :)

@TheWestPole , did I read somewhere you said if you are dealing with a short positive pin, you can wrap dental floss around it to make it protrude more? I have one that is absolutely buried inside the negative threads.

Yeah, good for raising it a little bit. I'd inspect the insulator first though. If it's really low there may be something wrong there. Cracked, melted, etc.

I'll check it out right now. Sure hope not, it's brand new. Is a clone though

Hum, that's a new one. Took the pin out and I can't budge the positive block?

Leave it then. The insulator to check is the one around the center pin head. If it looks okay try the dental floss, or if you need more height a skinny o-ring.

Floss worked like a charm. Plenty there now I would feel fine even on a hybrid :) Finally getting a steady reading as well. Block want's to turn when I tighten the post screws. No biggie really, but have you ever tried to glue that in?

Not sure what you mean by block, but if it's on the deck I wouldn't use glue. Maybe just tighten it more?

Four post deck, so the middle two (positives) that the pin screws into. I got it really tight, I think maybe the insulator in there is just a tad too big?

    Which atty?

Mutation v3. Wish I could take a pic, but phone is outta commission atm. I believe most/all of the problems are related to it just being a poorly made clone.

Oh, I see. One of those posts which can spin. You're probably right. Just try to make do.
