Hey Glam, Dale, any lurkers
Haven't accomplished much today, but did get the laundry done.
That is enough for one day, Tink. You never want to get too much done or you would have nothing to do tomorrow.
Sloppy Joe's here with fries and jello fresh fruit salad. Too hot to go out or cook out.
I don't think there is any danger of that
Hubs just said most of the east coast is under an extreme heat warning for Sat and Sun. Heat indexes in the 110°-115° range. Have I ever mentioned I hate hot weather??
Guess I'll watch some TV with hubs. Have a good night, beachmates
If your going then the worst is over so enjoy your day!
I did do some things but they were mostly unavoidable.
Ribeye baked potato and salad, easy peasy
We hope anyway
Also had to add water to the pool. Really like the way we got things set up so I'm not dragging a water hose around. Forgot to turn off the watering hose for the tomato plants while I added water to the pool which took about an hour so plants got a REAL good watering.
The computer is running Windows 10, but there are some issues. The processor is only an Intel Pentium Dual 2.5GHz and it only has 2GB RAM, so it's very slow. The Power Supply is only 300W. These things can be upgraded, but the metal box assembly on the motherboard with all the audio plugs on the back of the PC has a plug tip broken off in it which came from a Speakers plug. I can't plug in to the Green Speakers jack because of this. This requires a new Sound Card to get sound now.
These two computers (one is on the way) were bought because the two that are working now were behaving so poorly. He doesn't need them now. I told Greg about the above and then told him that I had an option to consider. I told him that he could keep these computers for parts and don't upgrade them. He paused for a few seconds and said he'd consider it. So this computer will be set aside until he tells me otherwise. I'll do the same when the other one gets here, and he'll probably make a decision then.
It's getting late, so I'm going to finish the yard. I have to go get gas first, but I'll see how much I can get done.
Heat index at Midway Airport in Chicago was 111 degrees this afternoon. Iowa City hit an index of 115. Now that is hot folks.
Like you, except time I spent out in pool and watering stuff (while I was wet), I'm not going out there!!!
Good night beachmates Stay as cool as you can!
And I do not care for hot weather either. Anything above 85 is not in my comfort zone.
Gonna take my cool butt to the recliner. I turn the air up in this weather so it is not running continuously. Even so, coming in from the outdoors, it feels so nice. How did we live without it? We are spoiled.
Good night, jj, Dale, Tink, VG, and all others who come by. Hope y'all stay comfortable....and sending extra cool wishes out to Redd whose body does not handle this weather well.
I’m calling it a day too... good night Beachers.
Haven't touched the A/C setting and have no plans on it. On the plus side it's not running all the time. Pretty I can thank the Tyvek for that.
Night Dale and Glam................sleep tight.
Off to play some games then head into the kitchen to do some cleaning and then lazy lazy until bed time.
Good night beach
Night Mark..........sleep tight.
Bought 1 gallon of gas and home. Didn't get much done before twilight was setting in. Guess I'll finish that tomorrow.
We've had had 115° here, but not in a long while.
I get hot easily. I keep my AC set on 73°. I wear pajamas while home because they're cool and less binding than clothes. And I can feel the difference when it gets to 74°.
