I think the storms skipped us
Saw the last post because it is on this page. That is the extent of my back-reading. We got a brief hellacious rain. It passed quickly and according to the map was a spinoff of all that horrible weather affecting so many.
Tomorrow (actually today, now), a document I prepared will be presented to the county and the developers by our legal team, entitled: "Preliminary Wildlife Review" of the property I've been working on, complete with validating photographs over the last two years (via metadata attached to the photographs, showing dates and geographical locations, to prove it's bonafide; I'm not pulling this out of my ass), presenting that we've got three threatened species on that property, plus an active bald eagle nest with two eaglets. I used the same approach I did to writing all that crap for years; completely unbiased, stressing regulatory requirements. We have an excellent case just based on this, according to the land use attorney. I really thought this would just be an accessory support to our case, so it's encouraging.
I threw in a few other species of concern that are not highly regulated but are of concern. I had to throw in a cute mammal for that sort of appeal, and we have a large river otter population here. Serendipity: in addition to some video of a group of five adults on the 15th fairway a week ago, taken by a resident, here is a pic I got in the creek in back of my house. Otter mother with four kits. They live in the banks of water bodies on the course and travel through the big, interconnected drainage tiles, one of which leads to my creek:
Otherwise, it's summer already. Mid 80's.
......and here are some eagle photos, recent. Hard to get because they are up so high and that sunshine makes it hard to photograph. The nest is in a eucalyptus tree, unusual for bald eagles.

Great going @Lisa66!
Good morning beach!
Blue - sorry you have been feeling so bad and hope you are feeling better quickly.
Glam - so jealous of your snow! I walked out about an hour ago to go get gas and it was shivery cool. Guess I need to add a jacket and put on shoes instead of flip flops.
lisa - looks like enough wildlife to be concerned with development in your area, especially the eagles. I don't know how they could get away with that.
Good morning Mark and Sun
It’s cold this morning! 39 .... going to be sunny and a warm 74 later though.
Good morning Beach & Lifeguards..... back at it today.....

Good morning, Beachers.
Been busy ever since I got up....catching up on American Idol, making plans to go on our annual annual plants shopping trip with friends. On the phone with hubs discussing some changes we are making with finances. Finally a chance to sit here, munch on some breakfast and get my back reading done.
Wishing you the best of luck fighting the good fight, Lisa.
Good afternoon, beach people.
Pool league later today. I hope your Monday is as good as possible!
Good evening beachmates
Although we started out cold we had a perfect sunny day in the mid 70’s.
Things are looking up for my boss, me not so much
Sad day in France, had the coverage on all afternoon....I cannot imagine what they must be feeling watching such a historical icon partially reduced to ashes.
Taco Monday at our house....so good.
Watching the news right now.
