There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to believe that Vaping Blips will go dark, but Bill @InMyImage has been absent for some time and hasn't responded to my messages. God forbid something has happened to him but I'm just getting the ducks in a row just in case.
Hopefully VB will be around for a long time to come and the friendships made here continue to grow.

I don't think they have a function..... maybe it is an adaptation that scares predators?

Frogs. I have frogs.
Cuban tree frog, large-ish frog, that went "splat" on a window as I was walking down the hall a while back, scared the hell out of me.
It came back another very steamy night:
Just the other night, I came in from outside, and this was the view from inside through the glass next to the door. These are the tiny ones (most are a half inch) that sing at night:
