I just eyeball the legs. If too long, give em a snip, if too short, tighten and give the coil a tug to get off the deck. :) Works for me.

@glassgrl I know it's late but I got the Zeta built. I just built it the way it came to me even with those weird coils. I'll definitely put my own coils in it as soon as I need to. The included coils are reverse wrapped and have what looks like welded-on non-resistant legs. The coil itself is a dark matte gray, almost like a coil that's already been torched (sort of). They really should give info on it, but no. It's 10 wraps, 3mm ID and fired up perfectly the first time. The legs are 9mm long. If you push it all the way down it touches the top of the air hole (too close). On my ohms meter it's .94 ohms. On the Pico 21700 it's .88 ohms. (You decide).

You can try it but I would ditch the ceramic deck insert. It only poses a nuisance when building because it moves around and not sure, yet, if it makes a difference in the flavor. The ceramic dome, however, might be more useful because it reduces the chamber, for one.

Just got it done and still breaking in the wick but, yes, it's a lip licker! I find the AF interesting in that you can, contrary to one reviewer, set it in between the stops. It's comparable to my KFs on the smallest AF settings and it still holds flavor on the larger ones but you'd probably want a bigger or more complex coil for that. Although, the juice channels won't accommodate a large coil. Maybe a simple 3mm Clapton. I think with a little practice building it won't prove to be annoying at all. Should you buy this instead of another KF for $5? If you want a small, sharp looking true MTL with top fill, yes. First build, no problems with wicking, leaking. As with all attys, only time will tell if this stays in my daily rotation. So far, so good.:)

ETA: My own coil will be a smaller ID so I don't have to fiddle with the wick fitting in the juice channels.

    Hold on to your horses...

My review of the OBS Engine MTL is coming tomorrow. I don't have the Zeta, and I'm not a dedicated MTL vaper, but this thing... well, you'll see...

    I'm listening:)

ETA: Not sure I want to sacrifice even 0.5 mls of juice but I do like the Engine and am open minded. I imagine having top fill eats into the precious little capacity.

@glassgrl Update on Zeta: Yup, wick broken in and it's flavorful alright! Everything I've said so far still stands......if you can get the box opened that is:confused:......it's like a Rubik's Cube:p I'll give you a hint: It has a hinge.

    OBS Engine MTL
    20190422_151953_compress_68.jpg
This is tiny compared to the Ammit I wrote about last week. They're the same diameter, but the Engine is a mere 43 mm tall - including the drip tip and 510. Where the Ammit holds 4 ml, this wee beasty holds 2 ml. It also has a smaller, thinner, quarter-turn top cap and bigger fill ports.

The deck on this is pretty typical for a single coil... two posts with screws on top to trap the wire. No post holes here. But, there are notches to bend the wire back into to avoid the tails shorting out in the chimney. Note that the air on this comes.from one tiny hole under the coil only rather than three (bottom and sides) like the Ammit.

The wicking channels are the same though.

It will easily handle a 3 mm coil with the cotton brushed out, our a 2.5 mm coil without too much cotton combing.

To be honest, I wish I had gotten a little closer to the air with this build...

Building is really easy though. Just one tip... install one leg and tighten the screw down, then - with the screw on the opposite side loosened up a bit - slide the other leg over the post and under the screw. Make sure you end the leg back into the slot to clip. Even the tightest of cuts using my wire nippers left enough of a leg to cause it to short out... Straighten the coil after tightening, and you're good to go... well, after wicking and priming LOL.

As with most all modern top air tanks, this one channels the air through a double walled chimney...

The air comes in one both sides through one of three tiny holes. At a guess, I'd say they were 0.8mm, 1.5mm and 2mm. Since I bought a black tank, it ain't easy to photograph the air holes, but...

All the disclaimers I wrote about the Ammit apply here... I'm not a dedicated MTL vaper and yada-yada blah blahzitty blah...

That said, this is smoother than the Ammit, and I think I like it a bit more. On the other hand, it holds half the e-liquid. On the other other hand, the Engine MTL is easier to fill.

Long and short: if you want capacity, get the Ammit. If you want a slightly smoother vape, get the Engine. If you want variety, get one of each :) I honestly don't think you can go Terribly wrong with either.

ETA: I wrote this review for another forum... I could not upload all of the images here...

Thanks Shawn, appreciate it. You are confusing me though. I have two ammit's, so are you saying I need two Engine's, or just one?:D

    You have 2 Ammit MTL?

Well, then, you've obviously got to have 4 OBS Engine MTLs so the juice capacity will match up LOL.

So its 24mm with 2ml capacity? Wow, that is a shorty :thumb: always wondered why ammit did three af to one thing. Seems like that would cause loss of flavor?

Yes!!! It was waiting for me when I got home. Took me a second to open that fancy-pants box...actually I just went to put it down sideways and it opened itself. Thank you, Box. lol Glad something was easy in this super-shitty day. Does endodontist mean 3x the cost?

Nice, I'll have to go check the pics. This must be different from the larger Engine? I have one of those...must not have liked it too much.

Zeta so far- I had to walk away for a minute. I hate to agree with some weird youtuber but yeah...I was getting annoyed. I went back after a break and finally got it built. This isn't for someone who doesn't like to fiddle with stuff a little bit. Put in a regular 3mm 26g K. Waiting for the wick to break in. It is a nice looking little thing!

Speaking on nice looking little things- Buddha has been waiting patiently (cuz that's what Buddha does) since his arrival for my bonsai to get strong enough to replant it in its permanent home.
    Last night was the night.
So I prepared a bed of gravel and sand, microwaved the soil to kill any fungus, cooled it and sifted it. I filled the planter 3/4 full and then used a plastic fork to gently form a root ball from the germination pot. I replanted the three braided trees into the new soil and gave it all a good watering with just a touch of fertilizer.
Last, but not least, Buddha parked himself next to the fledgling tree.
I left the full spectrum grow light on all night to help it recover. Checked the moisture level in the soil this morning.
On my way home from work, I stopped by the nursery to pick up some moss to cover the bare soil and give Buddha a more comfy, lush place to park his tushy.
    I had thought of everything.
Except that my wife's cat is attracted to shiny, glinty things.
Yup. Maleficent tried to eat Buddha.
Finding him not quite to her taste, she ate my tree. :censored::censored::censored::grr:

I measure the 22mm Zeta at 39mm tall (incl. DT). Sorry, I don't usually bother to measure the 510 pin unless concerned about seating. It has 2.5ml capacity. The Engine is tempting because I like my other Engine but it doesn't make sense compared to Zeta (unless the flavor is even better). That's hard to believe.
Sorry for that. Yes, ma'am, all specialists are pricey. Without knowing your situation, at least you got the best care for a root problem, tooth pain problem.
